I'm new to OCL and, having spent a good amount of time looking...

I'm new to OCL and, having spent a good amount of time looking at it over the last few days, it seems to me to display a lot of the attributes that i look for:

1) Heavily aligned management team (i.e. management team owns >80% of OCL)
2) Focus on long-term rather than short-term outcomes (i.e. happy to invest in R&D, stomach short-term divisional losses for long-term benefit etc.)
3) Operating leverage
4) Conservatively struck financial accounts (fully expensed R&D - some software companies at least partly capitalize their R&D spend).
5) Highly cash generative, low capex (although i suppose the R&D is, in effect, this company's capex - they would die without spending R&D).

The burning question in my mind is: why OCL over TNE? I own neither of these two stocks so that's not a loaded question. I guess i look at TNE and see a company with very similar dynamics to OCL in terms of the above 5 points, except TNE looks (post my very preliminary scan) to be a 'bigger and better' OCL:

- Deeper product suite (whereas OCL is wholly reliant, at this stage, for profits on its ECM suite)
- More customers, less reliance on local governments (TNE look to have mopped up in the mid-sized enterprise space over the last 10-20 years, perhaps because that's where the really big multinationals didn't pay enough attention)
- Longer track record of delivering growth

Is it just an issue of pricing (OCL is probably on a low-20s PE whereas TNE is high-20s forward PE)? How does one compare TNE and OCL?
