I like the fact that they number of outstanding shares has increased very, very little over the years (none of this dreadful dilution) and they have also always either maintained or increased dividend. Very happy to hold and accumulate. Mines are not disappearing any time and there is whole range of application for these detectors. I owned a metal detector many years ago (in Europe) and used it to find old and valuable coins (which I sold to dealers). My best find was a silver coin from the 1600-hundreds. Great fun. There are not too many companies in Oz with a meaningful competitive advantage on the international scheme but Codan appears to be one of them. Buying opportunities in great companies typically requires an event like this.
