But what I take from this very early production announcement is that for the quarter the net cash position ie net debt is unchanged.
But the market cap has taken today an 18% lift to take the St Barbara enterprise value to $793m+ $208M ( net debt) to that magical $1.0bn
Production guidance is 5% higher ...at best.
But what about cash generation ? Marginal increase I suggest .
I''m marginally down ( = 3 cents divided by 160 cents) on my short SBM position but it acts as a useful buffer against my long positions in debt free gold stocks.
SBM's cash generating capacity to justify a $1.0bn price tag will be revealed in the upcoming quarterly .
