SBM have an operation in PGN and it's located on a remote island 900km and a 3 hour charter flight away from Port Moresby.
OGC have operations in the Phillipines.
One of the more succcesful gold miners of recent times, not mentioned in my comparison, B2Gold has operations in Mali, the Phillipines, Namibia and Nicaragua plus projects in Burkina Faso and Columbia.
I've seen more gold companies fail due to bad managment and operational issues than due to sovereign risk events. Esh
