    The conflict with russia over the pipelines running through ukraine has also come to bear in the past few years as russia is building the nordstorm pipes which can bypass ukraines network of pipelines. It is also suspected that ulraine has been siphoning out natural gas, which might also explain its formerly cheap electricity prices.
