Technical progress with the development of solid state batteries may tip the balance back in favour of carbonate over hydroxide as it’s more straightforward to convert lithium carbonate to lithium chloride.

I don’t think you should make these investment choices on trying to select where battery tech is headed over the next decade beyond that it is going to involve lithium in its many forms. I’ve got a slice in a spodumene producer just to try and cover as much of this as I can. IMHO and DYOR
