Yeah it's a shame it ended up this way really. DLS is just a better company all round. I made a couple of purchases recently at 55 and 64 so probably ends up about even for me.

I think the combined entity will have the extra scale and production to get market attention so it will likely prove to be a good outcome anyway over the next 12-18 months.

It'll be interesting to see how it fits in with the Santos divestments since the merger won't be official til February and the sales will take place before then. And Beach might want to divest their Moomba interest too. Such a state of flux in the Cooper Basin at the moment but so many opportunities now for the combined Beach/Drillsearch entity too.
