Being a Medical Scientist myself and experiencing the ever-changing world of Pathology and diagnostic testing, LBT is part of this advancing field of pathology. Microbiology is one of the last areas to embrace automation. When LBT begins selling these analysers the world of Microbiology will change forever. The ageing population and increased resistance to antibiotics means an increase in the demand for diagnostic testing and quicker turnaround times.
Simply put, pathology (especially microbiology) needs to embrace innovation and change, otherwise the ever increasing demand and pressure for quicker and more accurate diagnostic testing will NEVER be met if we don't embrace this essential change. The future of Pathology depends on keeping up and ahead of technology.
LBT is revolutionising microbiology! The demand for automation and increased diagnostic testing is only going to increase in the future! A win win for LBT.
