At least one who has the insight here."with many more engineers at work..." - thats's one kind of key advantage. Keeping R&D and IP comletely in-house is a much better approach than outsourcing key development steps - even if AKPs R&D partner is a European company.
Nevertheless I wish all of you invested the best. Maybe I am wrong and all invested here will make a fortune with AKP.
