I doubt it. The development process is iterative and this has been the case all along. Very time there are new wafers they are tested and the results used to modify the process before new wafers are produced. Rinse and repeat.

The good news is that the development is nearing completion. The chip can play music. The fab is refining the process. IMO we will soon have finalisation of the process for the simplified chip - the one that was announced recently as being able to produce low frequency sound. It has been a lengthy development requiring much patience, which I believe will be rewarded soon. How soon? That's a good question. I'm thinking within a few months.
