Good that someone took the time to check! I suspect "at cost" means the cost of acquiring them i.e. those that were part of the Advangen purchase. I don't think you would or could record the cost of applying for new patents as an intangible asset (that would be a bit like the practice of mining explorers recording exploration expenditure as an intangible asset...) - surely you just expense those costs?
