The new direct corporate contracts, if they are all real, are obviously highly conditional, most likely only offering a form of trial period with no guarantee of minimum quantities, etc.

More the point, the continuous disclosure requirements would have required disclosure of the 3 contracts, if they were at all real, material or significant, as part of yesterday's reporting regime (ie: as a post balance day event). The fact then that nothing was reported means that either these contracts are, in fact:

* only opportunistic in nature, with no firm commitments in place beyond perhaps a non-binding trial (possible - yet no corporates out there, their staff or clients /customers have even remotely referenced any of this happening, so equally not possible);

** are immaterial as to value, size or commitment (in which case, I would like to report that the corner store down at the end of the road has agreed to take a regular weekly supply of 20 2L FC milk - can we have an announcement about that, too, please, Peter?); or

*** are no more than heads of agreement, MOUs or SOIs (statement of intent), with nothing meaningful, contractually required, or lasting actually likely to eventuate, just like it has been in relation to Lian He, Lencia, the Victorian WOW experience (actually, instead just being a partial, regional trial rather than any sort of statewide commitment - and that contract is also about to end), and the plot of land bought down Camperdown way but for which there has actually never been any sort of follow up announcement).

So, no, it is very unlikely that the contracts exist or even existed, just as it is and has proven to be illusory regarding Lian He, Lencia, WOW, and virtually everything else that is happening out there.
