What a difference 20mins makes. SP now starting to slip and is down 28c. Someone with better grasp of financials can confirm figures but WOR has goodwill of 1900m and 'other NT assets of 190m totally almost 2100m! This with a mkt cap (SP $8.40) of 2062m!! Much of the goodwill was acquired when WOR bought numerous smaller consulting engineers near/at the top of the resources boom. But what are these acquisitions really worth when many of the staff inherited have been retrenched i.e. huge loss in IP and the future contracts being won are a) less numerous, b) getting smaller and smaller in size, c) with rapidly shrinking margins as so many firms hunt the same tenders. Can't be positive re next couple of yrs for WOR. I wonder how SP will react after analysts finish their briefing?
