Not so easy compared to what ??? ...... making a cup of tea .... or building a mine, railway, port & shipping the first product all in a period of 5 years.
Yes, Twiggy is the poster boy .... people like him are held up as an example for those coming along behind him to strive to emulate, not to be used an excuse for underachievement on the basis that he was lucky, or had it easy.
The production process is nothing new &, it would seem, relatively straight forward.
We have a chemistry PhD at the helm so surely it is not the process that "isn't so easy"
Or maybe it's not so easy to complete an environmental study .... well no, it can't be that difficult because every other mine has had to do one too, & it didn't retard their progress by years & years & years.
So maybe it's the infrastructure .... mmmmm, 100km of gravel road as compared to many hundreds of kilometres of rail.
So what is it that "isn't so easy" sevo ??? how is it that all those other companies in the North West who have brought projects to production over the last 10 years had it so easy ??
I'm not the sharpest knife in the block, but I just can't see how pumping brine into evaporation ponds & letting nature do the work for you, "isn't so easy" (yeah, I know, the evaporite has to be treated)
Now digging kilometres underground to mine potash (as in Canada) ... now THAT is probably not so easy & they do if for a product that is worth way less on the open market.
So let me paraphrase what appears to be your logic ......
In 2008 the Shaw report indicated that it was a goer.
It hasn't come to fruition, so clearly the Shaw report got it wrong & that they missed something quite significant that makes the whole thing not "so easy".
Well, maybe the thing that "isn't so easy" has been getting quality, experienced, "doers" on the project.
& maybe that "isn't so easy" because of the dysfunctional dictatorship.
& even when they did finally get someone who seemed to fit the bill, he lasted 5 minutes !!!
Have you ever wondered why ?? .... we sure haven't had the slightest insight from the board ....
Given the absence of any documented reason, I can only imagine that he realised very quickly that the organisation is dysfunctional & that he would be wasting his valuable time there.
The history is of a lack of focus on a single goal ... getting a world class asset to production.
Even RWD's blindest supporters would acknowledge the time, money & effort wasted on chasing an even bigger 'world class' resource in the same neighbourhood, opened the door to competition that at the time didn't exist ...... ie RWD's ineptitude opened the door for competition.
It is little wonder that those now running the 'opposition' were once close to RWD.
My guess is that they saw a story that had enormous upside, but quickly realised it was in the wrong hands, so they went off on their own.
None of them have a PhD in Chemistry but that hasn't slowed them down, nor, apparently, have they come up against the "isn't so easy" factor yet !!!
