I have been reading a couple of articles regarding the Yabulu tailings.
6/6/18 former QNI boss Trifilio estimated ( I averaged the numbers )90m tonnes of tailings containing 244000 tonnes of nickel 0.27% and 63000 tonnes of cobalt 0.07%. And the cost of the treatment plant $700 - $800 million , with the price of
cobalt at the moment this looks unlikely.
7/6/18 ...Clive Palmer said QNI had installed a cobalt refinery to treat the tailings, could this be right? Going by Clive's history I think he would fight anyone else treating the tails.
BTW a show not that far away the cobalt grade are not much better. I think you know the show.
