Ha! Jeepers, I rest my case! Curiosity got me looking at lithium mining profits: Taking the numbers from the TAW project, they make ~$100/t of dirt mined from their 1.1% lithium deposit.

At 2oz/t BBX can make $2,400/t at $500/oz costs

At 4oz/t BBX can make $5,800/t at $250/oz costs (costs per tonne will halve at double the grade).

I know it's apples and oranges (TAW have shipped their first dirt) but lithium mining's not that much better than mining iron ore.
