Newmont has picked up the ground next door to SEG with a very similar unloved story behind it. Gold Roads proved there is still plenty out there to be found in untested greenstone with Central Bore and Gruyere. Must be a few billion tonnes worth of iron ore projects that jumped to gold when the wind changed: Mt Forrest, Cashmere downs, Wiluna West etc.
The advantage SEGs ground has is that the northern tenements haven't been properly tested for either and its hard to argue with the way SEG is going about testing them. Soils have thrown up a heap of well defined targets which seem to be structurally associated and towards the middle of the greenstone. Sure they might not be economic but I'm confident that drilling at Barlee will bring SP positive news and thats whats worth a punt. So, SEG have some very prospective ground but its not the only exciting gold work happening in this state and its not the only Ive been punting on.
"Thousands of targets at plumridge" is precisely my problem with it, sounds like it needs a few $mil of aircore sunk into the joint to find something worth following up (bust out another mil). This is why I say Barlee and Reid Well are the best bang for buck.
