Plumridge is a good project however I support seg in headlining Barlee and Reid Well. Fraser Range rocks are supremely messed up by metamorphism and are under significant transported cover. Its also out back of beyond which adds a lot to project costs. Bang for buck wise, I don't think Plumridge would have a high chance of success with the current budget. The target results seg keeps producing with Barlee gives me confidence that there is economic mineralisation at depth and It seems like Barlee has been protected from exhaustive picking over for the following reasons...
Looking around on Geoview and Google Earth, parts of Barlee have been drilled for various things (Fe,Ni, Au). Interestingly, the timing, limited depth and limited extent of drilling puts seg in a very interesting position. My understanding is that most shallow RAB drilling was done before the BreX gold scandal crashed the commodity. Drilling only tested loose cover around rainy rocks and immediatly along strike of the evanston gold mine. Although coming up with some good results (18m @ 1.18g/t Au, including 4m @ 3.8g/t Au from 16m)*, it failed to properly test the obviously mineralised bedrock structures. Canadian company Macarther Iron previously held the ground and dumped it because they were quickly going broke and weren't meeting expenditure. they have no public record of the assessment of any of the ground for gold or nickel that I have found. The canucks lacked the creativity and the results to sell the ground surrounding that piss-ant magnetite project they had going during Fe boomtime.**
"A few rock chips around workings" have also been accompanied by 1000km2 soil sampling of the package which has identified plenty of targets without historic workings, sampling or drilling on them. These are the areas Im most interested in as old workings are so often the surficial expression of a greater mineralising system. Results from Barlee show that the right fluids, rocks and structures exist for an economic deposit to exist in a much logistically nicer area than Plumridge. Drilling is almost upon us and there will be a heap of SP positive news flowing in over the next few months.
bring it on talentless, Ill take up your 1:1000 bet. There'll be economic gold along strike of economic gold.
