I agree that a rights issue would have been better from a fairness perspective but given the lack of market support for the shares it most certainly would have cost a mint and probably failed miserably.
The modest placement is done and dusted, the warehouse projects are funded, the distribution expansion is funded, and some equity is available to seed a leasing strategy. We don't have to sit around for months wondering where we are headed.
If you were able to read about the English Distributors capital raising before the link was withdrawn they were raising only $500k to provide the seed capital for a a pretty substantial leasing roll out which they indicated had a sub two year payback time.
If leasing is that attractive VMOTO can certainly get directly involved.
Hopefully this small injection of cash will get the sales flowing so that profits can emerge which support a substantial lift in share price and stronger positive market sentiment.
Then the time will be right for a rights issue if more capital is beneficial.
Little steps are often the best way forward.
