So what law is being proposed in 2020 to ban shorting and who is proposing to do it?
My point was that accusing someone of breaking the law when they haven't broken any current law could be deemed as defamation.
I am not a fan of shorter's but I accept that they are part of the stock market.
Nobody is complaining about the fact that the share price has just gone up 5 cents mainly due I suspect to short covering.
I personally think shorting is exactly the same as day trading where posters make false or very optimistic claims and then sell the stock when it goes up.
The whole stock market gets manipulated and the shorter's are just one part of that.
