After a couple of months when the s**t started to fly I made enquiries as to the share holding of that former director.
A few days later I got a direct call from that person who proceeded to quote the legal company he uses and threatened to sue me for deformation as the enquirer was suggesting in his mind insider trading .
Pretty heavy handed for asking about if there was any change to his holding, but in the course of the conversation he admitted he had sold "some" shares.
What do you think?
The company was also out of order to supply my number to him as well.

U should have told him to go ahead. Defamation is a very expensive and dIfficult case to prosecute and it's the plaintiff who takes the enormous risk.
