I shot out there for a look a couple of months ago and can confirm there is a serious amount of water there, however there were a number of hoses already set up for de-watering although I can not confirm if they were setup by PGO or a legacy of the previous owners.
The NT had their 3rd wettest season since records began so that would of exacerbated the situation, however there is a lot of land there for run off and I would assume there are not too many contaminants present in the water.
