The Nation reports of residents being poorly compensated for SVM recent drilling program and subsequent access and damage to villagers crops.
Prob more due to local govt extortion and corruption but the poor treatment of local villagers raises it's head again in the mining sector of Malawi.
Sooner the new mines and minerals bill legislated the better - supposed to be tabled in feb!
