Good concerns. Their major resource is right next to (and I mean flyrock would litter the runway) the only airport in the region for miles, with not much flat ground to locate it elsewhere. They also had major protests from the locals, who are very militant, although they did get a new liaison bloke in who seemed to have calmed the waters.
On the plus side, the area is an agrarian based economy, so some local industry might be welcome?
