Depends what test work they are planning to do. If its just a basic flake size analysis, purity, tap density etc then yes that will take a matter of weeks. If they are planning something more detailed (eg cycle testing) then that would take a couple of months.
But more point is this, test work results don't mean much if you don't have anywhere near enough of it to start a mine. Cart before the horse.
