No they cant trade after expiry. You either let them expire and it will cost you nothing or you pay the conversion price of 6 cents sometime prior to the expiry date. Most people will wait for them to get in the money, eg say 12 cents, then convert, so then in real terms the cost of conversion is covered by the same amount of profit. The oppies will usually roughly stay pace with the SP. eg When the SP hits say 8 cents then the oppies should be around 2 cents.
Plenty of options available depending on ones own financial position at the time.
