It is entirely conceivable that a proposal could be put to the landowners that attracts them more than a tie up with Axiom
If I was the landowner group a proposal from a company or group with money in the bank, offering a solid investment proposal and a good opportunity to fund and manage the resource compared to Axiom which has a weak balance sheet, a management team that have milked the company for fees and and have a uncertain ability to fund the development I might well be tempted to pass on the option to commit to Axiom.
Hopefully for long suffering shareholders they are on the cusp of a positive announcement - as a former shareholder I retain a watching interest in what is happening - I represented a client many years ago who was trying to negotiate purchase of a business in SI - it was very frustrating dealing with the burocracy and approach to negotiations by some of the business people I dealt with over there - it doesn't seem like things have changed a great deal based on Axiom's tortured experience. It will be quite an achievement it RM finally seals the project for Axiom.
