2. They want to increase their in-house experience, hoping they aren't locked into hiring contractors even after several years.

4. It's quicker - "What's that thing doing in that cave over there?" "Last week, this and that happened, and then Bob there...", instead of poring over paperwork to figure out whether it's safe to remove.
