One of the points in Monday's Announcement:
"The MMRP, with over 1 million tonnes of PASS, will be the first ever large project in Melbourne requiring the comprehensive identification of PASS and its management using lime treatment or underwater disposal to avoid the formation of acid drainage."
# There is over 1 million tonnes of PASS fr the MMRP alone
# It has to be identified. It's been ignored in the past & disposed of untreated ... @ $20/T
# It's treatment is specified - lime treatment or under water disposal ONLY.
# Disposal without one of these treatments won't happen ie no $20/T options available.
This obviously has some people very unhappy ... no untreated options accepted!
