You're obviously an expert in all things IO, so have you considered telling PDY yourself?
But don't stop there.
Consider telling the Federal Gov't as well.
On top of the money the WA Gov't have sitting aside, there's $339 million of Federal dollars budgeted towards the Oakajee development.
Note the terminology. "Development". Not "feasibility".
This is documented in this media release, dated May 2014.
Given the Federal Gov'ts chain saw approach to fix the Labor mess, and according to your expert and considered assessment, a project like Oakajee would be a no-brainer to be cancelled. No?
I'm sure the Federal Gov't could find 101 other places to spend (or save) $339M.
The State remains committed to the Oakajee Mid West Development project, which centres on the creation of a new port and related infrastructure at Oakajee, around 25 kilometres north of Geraldton.
The development of a new port will underpin the expansion of the Mid West as a significant iron ore province and support the long term prosperity of the region.
During 2013–14, the department continued to progress plans for the development of Oakajee based on a scaled and staged approach to the development of the port over time.
The work is focussing on options requiring significantly less capital expenditure than proposed previously.
At the end of the day, I guess all these other people involved aren't privy to what you know?
As you suggest, somebody should tell them.
Are you up for it?
