Is that production for the food packaging, or other products?
Putting high quality Aussie produce into Chinese manufactured packaging wouldn't sound like a great idea to me. How would you easily verify - as a customer - that some cheap contaminated resin isn't creeping into the plant, so that some shonky local can make some quick dollars via entrepreneurship? Surely the potential issues over there would outweigh the benefits, when it comes to food and beverage packaging. Or am I missing something? I imagine a lot of packaging already does come from over there. Accident waiting to happen IMO.
See IMD's ann 13/3/14. It seems somebody in China managed to get hold of cheap or free peanut oil, because it was contaminated with Asbestos, and put it into fraccing fluid. Caused a disaster for IMD, as they inadvertently were contaminating drill sites.
