Great Rhodium is the dark horse of the PGM set..The only precious-metal that's ever traded at $10,000 ounce and i found it so difficult to invest in ASX-listed companies who mine it, that I ended-up tracking down the only bullion-dealer in Australia where one can buy the stuff..Me & my adventurous friends bought the last few ounces they had at $900 ounce..just over a year ago..minted by Baird & Co in London..Rhodium always flies 'under the radar'..the 5th & forgotten man of the PM's..but demand is outstripping supply & having a stash of this ready for when it hits it's peaks is very handy. Varied applications but it's most popular use is as a coating for gold jewelry..to create 'White Gold'. This top-end of wedding-rings etc requires a recoating after a while (due to wear/tear) so it never gets recycled..
