You are hitting all my issues that even after a couple of phone calls I have not been able to get answers I can understand.
Its probably even worse for me as I never actually bought OVH shares I got them as part of the Diversa process. Diversa was very simple to understand and the directors unpacked it very well.
It was about a year away from paying dividends and we could all see the forward plan.
I think the CEO does talk a good story but they treat shareholders very much like mushrooms:
1. They will pay a dividend out of the sale of ... Never happened when you phone - oh that money was diverted to the acquisition of the KPMG business. That was never made public.
2. What are the metrics before you will start paying a dividend - Are you ever going to pay a dividend each half year - that is why I buy these financial stocks. A lot of fluff but not real information. I don't mind re-investment but the share needs some support and time is the constant evil to growth stocks that are not delivering constant information support. Really I don't want them pumping the share price but I have no idea how much progress they are making.
3. Each year she presents at the TOP meeting and its all coming together , going well ... But when does the poor shareholder actually get to understand if we own a VW Beetle or a Beemer. Its not a NWL or a HUB or a ... but all of those I can understand.
4. Then they sell the trustee business which was the largest part of the Diversa acquisition. From a friend I got that that was a good selling price but why does it no longer fit the 20 mile journey... No explanation.
5. Whilst TOP and a few others keep supporting them you get the impression that if the retail share price is low they really don't care.
6. Where are the objectives for the next year and the ticks or a progress report. The first time I have seen one was in December for KPMG business.
Really I just think we deserve better communication.
