Chocky , well lets see if your happy little scenario plays out . The new capital providers will get their oppies for free , guaranteeing them a profit - some of them will not even be shareholders. Spec companies are like drug users - they'll do anything to get their fix (new capital) They'll even undermine the interests of their existing shareholder's . Existing shareholders have their shares devalued - so that people outside the company can make a profit & get free new options. It's a mugs game , of secrecy controlled by the cap raisers in league with company directors who are of course paid large sums from shareholder funds as the companies have neither income nor profit. This little wrought has of course being going on for a long time .
