I am hoping (perhaps against hope) that the new boss can sort out any issues with local labour.
Given RS quick exit after Toyota got representation on the board, you could imply that the Japanese have identified an issue with either (or both) motivation or communication with the local workforce.
That would further imply that Toyota do not see a problem in the process, equipment, or current capacity.
A local hire with no experience in the field? Maybe some of us have been looking at the wrong field.
The Japanese, and Toyota especially, are a smart bunch. At least let’s hope so.
