I have always thought they needed the right partner to get Indo moving. Also to ensure sh!t does not happen if we did start the alluvial mining and money starts to flow and certain unknown connected locals get a bit gold hungry and greedy.
West Wits don't have anywhere near enough capital for respectable bribes unless offering equity or share in profits. The positive is that no-one, not even the gov't has expressed that West Wits do not legally belong there. I have always hoped that they could find the right partner with the right connections. They have mentioned that a listed company recently made an offer. Can only hope.
