When I first met my Japanese wife in the early 2000's we went to the Nikka Whiskey distillery in Yochi. I remember looking at a few pallets of Japanese 21 year old single malt for about 20 bucks each thinking that wouldn't be a bad idea to buy and sit on. Bought some shares instead and that was a very bad idea.

So yes picking the asset class is as important as the company.

That being said, can all the bears and panic merchant and strangely suddenly informed and knowledgeable day traders of all things cobolt that have flooded is forum please explain how the looming cobolt supply shortage that will occur in the very early 2020's is going to be solved ?

Cause that would really help determine that CLA, one of the largest known cobolt reserves in the world is now worth less than 15 sydney houses.

Now if anybody does have a spare single malt. I could sure use it right now !
