I agree that not dealing with absolutes is difficult, and constant speculation is indeed tiring.

If however some delight in setting the hares running on remote speculative scenarios, it's indeed a thankless task when others try to reign this in. Not everyone is going to do it in the precise technical way of salpetie. (Yet even he is speculating, and can make errors.)

If they don't bother, the extreme claims are left having more credibility than they otherwise should.
