I already hold bonds and plenty of other shares.  I think this may be the better course for you as well.  Diversity is good.  Also, see if you can open your mind, and do your own analysis, rather than mis-quoting what you think the Directors and large shareholders think, because you don't actually know what they think.   These threads are for good discussion and there are some good suggestions coming through here.   

The northern assets you refer to are not proven, and hence other than land size, they are simply not proven to be huge.  The market does not value them much at all.  

And what is wrong with focussing on the Surat ?  Santos and Shell suggest massive potential here.  Btw ... the $6million grant was for the Surat - you know that, surely ?  

Glad you metioned that business (especially Oil & Gas) is a gamble.  But when the smartest operators can de-risk, they absolutely do so, and that is the oppotunity for us in the Surat.
