It is? Take it from me, there is plenty of risk with checking the hand writing of some you can't read including name, date, test, sample number.... I would much prefer to have all that info enter once and and equated to a simple reference like rack A, position 1. Anyway, both could be used. The multi vial reader is still going to save a heap of time at multiple stages ($).
