yes agree to a point Teddy that oil shale is somewhat a swing producer and price setter for oil and as seen covers the high side with increased production and now we will see re some retreat on the low oil price side. I am staggered though that the oil industry has been able to handle the huge amount of oil shale oil which is not able to be refined directly and has to be mixed with the standard opec crude mix - hence the lower $$ value of the west texas to Brent crude. Just today Art Berman reminds everyone of the few Cos that in Q3 2018 at the high price of oil were actually cash flow positive in the oil shale space, the remainder were not and so by extension it is likely none are making money at these prices, so back down the elevator we go all be it will take time 3months etc with rig counts falling etc etc.
