People pump for one reason. Flip for a profit. See it here in spades and Hotcopper boards have seen this over and over and in just about every type of stock.
Learn to accept contrarian views to your own. You don't have to like them. And who knows maybe you can refute the view with specific company data. Macro level stuff like "oil at $70/Bbl" helps all E&Ps (but not equally).
