Thank you everyone for your words, it wasn't meant as a "woe is me" post because I know I'm not the only one suffering. I'm disappointed and angry at myself for wasting so much time on this instead of being more careful, it's easy to get caught up in the story and hope it'll swing back around but it's the sunk cost fallacy where you keep riding it because you are so deeply in, instead of cutting and running.

Laz has nailed how I'm thinking at the moment about where this company is at and where the project is at. After the recent failure at Winx, the announcements around it and all the bullshit twitter 'leaks', I'm really concerned that there's no farmout happening and if that occurs, there'll be nothing left. I'm leaning towards crystalising a big capital loss on Monday, but keeping a much smaller holding, at least I'll have some cash to start again elsewhere, albeit in a more sensible fashion. On the chance that we are not being lied to and the project does succeed, at least I'll be able to partake in that.

I'll have a chat to the wife about this weekend. She's very supportive and when I put all my money into the stock market 6 years ago she even said if we make a loss, it doesn't matter, life goes on and we'll get through it. I guess my biggest fear out of all of this was having nothing left to leave her if something did happen to me.

I know that these kinds of projects can take years to come to fruition but 88E has to keep diluting to get there and eventually this will run out. Dave Wall needs to take a good hard look at himself if he thinks he's worth $500K at the moment, I only went in so heavily on this because of Paul Basinski's history of work and not Dave Wall's.
