The logic was that any takeover offer would be expected to be at a price higher than was paid in the previous 3 months .
I was suggesting that buying a small chunk of shares at four times the current price by converting options might be a deliberate attempt at making a takeover at this early stage more expensive .
For the avoidance of any doubt , I'm not trying to ramp the share with takeover speculation - quite the opposite , am running out of time and ammo for averaging down .
