re: Ann: NuSep Expands Gels Distribution with... BioExpress. We need this kind of news more often, sources of direct revenue. Yes, another 10 distributors like BioExpress by Christmas would be nice and then a further 10 in the rest of the world. Why stop at 10% share of the US gels market? The existing Thermo Scientific collaboration with a $850 000 distribution contract is much better still. After nearly a year are we exceeding projections there? According the COO, last year a consignment of gels was also shipped to Germany. Did this conquer Europe? Despite the EURO problems I am sure they still value their good health. How is the Australian distributor faring in the home market? These are NuSep's bread and butter lines, essential for our existence.
The NuSep nUView Tris-Glycine Gels are actually advertised on the cover of the BioExpress May-June e-Catalogue and detailed on p.47, promotionally reduced from $95 to $79 (10 gels per bx), etc, presumably as an introductory item. They are listed as a new product. "Compatible with Bio-Rad and Invitrogen tanks .... and with all other 10cm tanks! Shelf life up to 18 months, .... etc." [NuSep's own full A4 brochure that I have here looks much more professional actually.]
Their extensive website makes very positive claims about values, service , speed, integrity, and, "BioExpress will become the best." Cannot find info yet on their history, scale of revenues.
