They aren't converting to shares at 7c, they are converting to convertible notes, which are still debt and probably still pay exorbitant interest, BUT, unlike the existing loans, if the price goes up, they'll be able to convert at 7c. If the price goes down, we keep paying exorbitant interest and still owe them the $1.7m. So we won't be debt free at all.
This just keeps the deck stacked against us.
Why don't they just convert to shares. Pure, simple, easy. I guess you'd need to have faith in the company to do that...
