Having seen on the news images of a decapitated shark detecting buoy which had been in place off Lennox Head pre-storm cast up on a local beach, it makes one wonder how the buoy or buoys faired in Bunbury Harbour in the recent storm(s) there. Presumably all OK or surely there would have been an announcement by now! No doubt the harbour would offer a great deal of protection but the boat owners in the harbour at Coffs Harbour would have thought likewise but the waves appear to have overtopped the protecting breakwall to damage some as well as the marina. More exposure means more available energy but at what risk?
