Lithium batteries are a relatively new technology in EV’s which most car manufacturers are only now looking at adopting on a mass scale and it’s an abundant resource. Dy is not an abundant resource and is costly to produce which is why magnet manufacturers have been successfully working out ways to reduce and eliminate its usage.
