"Ah , so the real issue you have with the report is not that the author is making a living out of research but because it mentions the reason Molycorp went bust and why Lynas is struggling to turn a profit despite processing RE for years ? Makes sense since Lanthanum and Cerium are both barely worth a few $ per kg"

The very least you could do would be stick to the truth as to what is written in the report.
h0rc0 Nowhere in report does it say :
because it mentions the reason Molycorp went bust and why Lynas is struggling to turn a profit despite processing RE for years

Your Q: "If what you say is true and Lynas has so much DyO then can you come up with a valid reason for not producing and selling some DyO to increase profits and pay off some of its debt instead of withholding it ?"

My A: I can come up with a few simple valid and logical reasons, number one is simply Economics, hence the reason Lynas ATM have withdrawn from sale their HREE/SEG mix, a mix that annually contains roughly 50,000+ Kg's of Dysprosium. Withdrawn due to poor price.

Neither NTU (with the intention of their pilot plant) or LYC, are looking at selling or have been selling DyO

h0rc0 Why do you think the market price for Dysprosium is greater than some of the other RE elements?
