RCR Tomlinson begins capital raising
NOVEMBER 12, 2003Engineering company RCR Tomlinson Ltd is planning to raise up to $4 million to help fund its purchase of Austheat Pty Ltd.

The Perth-based company said it has lodged a prospectus to raise up to $2 million at 41 cents per share and will lodge a shareholder purchase plan (SPP) to raise another $2 million also at 41 cents each.

Under the SPP each RCR Tomlinson shareholder will be invited to subscribe for shares up to a value of $5,000.

The placement and the SPP are conditional upon the satisfaction of the conditions precedent for the $3.3 million purchase of the business and business assets of Austheat.

Proceeds from the capital raisings will be applied towards this acquisition, to debt reduction and to provide additional working capital.

Earlier this month, RCR Tomlinson said the purchase of Austheat, together with its existing workshop-based heat treatment services, would establish the company as the dominant player of heat treatment services in Australia.”
